Michael O'Connell The Diversity of British Farming Kent: set of four coasters

This set of four coasters is decorated with detail from one a series of seven striking textile artworks by ‘the lost modernist’ Michael O’Connell. The artwork is one of seven 3.8-metre-high wall-hangings were originally created for a huge display called the ‘Diversity of British Farming' at the 1951 Festival of Britain Exhibition. Each wall-hanging showcased a different English agricultural region, highlighting the traditions and trades that made each one unique. Add a little style to your desk or dining table with this charming set of coasters. Orders for this product support the Museum for English Life.
