Kyle, Georgina Moutray, 1865–1950

Born in Craigavad, County Down, Georgina Moutray Kyle was a watercolour painter and pastel artist.

After studying art in Paris, she travelled widely before returning to Ireland, bringing with her a distinctly modern palette and a post-impressionist style characterised by heavy outlines and a strong emphasis on shapes.

Her subjects included portraits, still life, landscapes, harbour views and market scenes.
