Gainsborough's House

Gainsborough's House is the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough and home to some of his finest works. The Gainsborough's House Society formed in 1958 to purchase the house and open it as a public museum. The museum has been open for 60 years and continues to operate as a charitable trust. Located in Sudbury, Suffolk, the house exhibits drawings and paintings that span Gainsborough's entire career as an artist. Purchases of framed and unframed art prints directly support the collection.
