Delia Baillie 'Great Granny Structuralism' limited edition print

One of a limited-edition folio of 14 prints created by the Printmaking Workshop at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in collaboration with the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum, University of Dundee.

D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson (1860-1948) was the first Professor of Biology at University College, Dundee (now the University of Dundee) and his landmark 1917 publication On Growth and Form has inspired generations of artists, architects and designers as well as profoundly influencing scientific thought.

In 2013, the University of Dundee Museums commissioned 16 of the leading artists at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design to create new print works drawing on Thompson’s ideas as well as the collections held in his Zoology Museum. These limited-edition prints are now available either collectively in a high-quality presentation portfolio or individually.

Purchases support the University of Dundee Museums Collections.
