ANGUSalive is the culture sport and leisure trust for the county of Angus. The ANGUSalive collection consists of artworks held by the seven burgh towns of Angus which was amalgamated in 1975 to produce a rich and diverse single art collection. There are over 4,000 oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and sculptures held across Angus Council's museums and galleries which includes Montrose Museum, Arbroath Art Gallery and their flagship gallery – The Meffan in Forfar.
Artists represented in the collection include the sculptor William Lamb of Montrose, James Watterson Herald of Forfar and Arbroath, James Irvine and Pieter Brueghel the younger,
