The Museum’s fine art collection consists of over 6,000 works across all media. Works by talented amateur artists, especially those who served in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, feature significantly within the collection. Notable artists whose work can be found in this collection include John Hoppner (1758–1810), Dominic Serres (1722–1793) and William Lionel Wyllie (1851–1931).
