This elegant set of burgundy red sculptural earrings has been designed exclusively for Art UK by award-winning jewellery designer, Lynne MacLachlan.
The Peplos jewellery collection is inspired by the drapery found in classical and neoclassical sculpture, taken from the name of a sleeveless garment worn by women in ancient Greece often seen in such sculptures.
The collection celebrates the sculptures’ sensuousness and the craftsmanship of beautifully rendered drapery, found in many of the UK's art collections.
The fluid forms have been digitally created and 3D printed in high-quality nylon, giving the effect of undulating fabric twisting and adorning the body, frozen into pleasing forms.
The pieces are polished to a smooth finish and dyed in two rich colours – deep blue and burgundy red, giving a sophisticated feel to any outfit.
