Angela Barrett ‘Christmas Eve and the Lamb Goes Visiting’ Christmas cards – 8-piece set
Barrett's card references the Foundling Museum's remarkable 300-year old story and collection. This lamb, which features in the coat of arms designed by William Hogarth for the Foundling Hospital, is climbing the Museum's eighteenth-century staircase, which came from the boys' wing of the Hospital. Although set in the present day, Barrett imagines that; 'It's Christmas Eve, and the lamb is going upstairs to pay the foundling children a nocturnal visit, which they will remember as part dream, part vision'.
All proceeds support the work of the Foundling Museum.
